Intrinsic Identity
As my friend went to close our meeting in a prayer he paused to connect to his intrinsic identity and as he prayed out he established a spiritual connection, which rippled out and impacted us.
I first came up with the idea to make this piece when I was watching Stranger Things and felt like I was absorbing the raw intentions of the writers, directors and everyone involved, even if I was conscious of the fact it was a film and removed myself from consumer to observer it was sill influencing me so I wanted to illustrate that connection that was taking place. Over time the piece changed and that experienced happened with my friend giving it a deeper meaning.
When you connect to your intrinsic identity and act on it there is power and influence.
